Andria was born and raised in Minnesota. She now lives with her husband, Tim, in Elephant Butte, NM. Painting with Encaustic, which is melted beeswax mixed with tree resin and dry pigments, then heated to 200 degrees, is Andria's winter and spring medium along with weaving contemporary art pieces. Through summer and fall Andria switches to Cold wax medium mixed with oil paint. Weaving is still important and Andria weaves with various materials throughout the whole year. Two of her favorite artists are Georgia O' Keefe and Salvador Dali. Carpe Diem!
