Susan’s current interest is painting scenes she sees while walking or driving small roads. sometimes the light captures her attention, sometimes it’s color and contour. Sometimes it’s the sky, or a feeling, or a pattern. Sometimes it’s a memory awakened. She depicts these experiences using gouache paint on black paper. Gouache is like watercolor--only it is opaque.
