I have been making fine palm hats for 20 years. I also paint in oil and watercolor and showed my paintings in Scottsdale, Az I have lived on remote ranches all my adult life and have vast collection of reference photos taken of working cowboys and understand the Cowboy life. I got interested in making palm straw hats and wanted to make a hat that had custom features and was recognizable. My hats are very sculptural and they are recognized just as I had hoped.
