If you've ever traveled east of the Mississippi River, you've probably discovered the beauty of barn quilts—vibrant works of art displayed on barns, homes, businesses, and historic buildings. Thousands of these colorful quilt blocks create scenic driving trails that wind through America's small towns, inviting visitors to slow down, explore, and experience the local history, culture, and hospitality. Every barn quilt tells a story, preserving traditions and celebrating the communities where they belong.

My husband and I spent 15 years traveling this beautiful country as full-time RVers, and along the way we fell in love with barn quilts and the stories they tell. When we made Elephant Butte our home in 2019, I picked up a paintbrush and began creating barn quilts of my own.

Today, I am obsessed, possessed, and wildly excited about sharing this uniquely American folk art! My dream is to help create a New Mexico Barn Quilt Trail that winds through our charming small towns, showcasing local history, supporting artists and businesses, and encouraging travelers to discover the hidden treasures that make our state so special.

Every barn quilt I paint is more than a decorative piece—it's an invitation to celebrate creativity, spark conversation, and build community. Whether displayed on a home, business, barn, or public building, each quilt becomes part of a larger story that can inspire pride, attract visitors, and leave a lasting impression.
